Producing Many

Productivity is the measure of products turn out. All human beings are production machine and their achievement/success is the measure of the total number of life they impacted in their lifetime. All rich men or savvy entrepreneurs as I like to refer them found a problem and provided the solution; thus paid for finding solution to such problem. There is no rule of nothing for something in life. Nature is a great and wise negotiator. You only win a contract you worth and not the one you wish.

To know a true leader, check out his/her successor. If the successor is worse, then you have your answer, you have just discovered another manager, not a leader. Managers never allow a better person to succeed them; leaders build better successor to succeed them. Until you start producing better people than yourself; success is inachievable. There is a difference between success and achievement. Achievement is meeting the goal – success is joyously reaching the goal and being happy afterward. When you see anyone who attained a position in life and still feels bad or unhappy, you have just discovered another achiever.

Professor of Physics of an Engineering school compared to Thomas Edison is a comparison that needs no argument. Remember, to become a Professor takes a lot. Conduct and Publishing of many research works plus many years of teaching. But being a Thomas Edison requires more, why? The goal is the same but the purpose differs. A Professor of Physics meant well in all his conducted researches; they are to better the knowledge of Physics. Mind you, becoming a Professor is a goal and when the individual finally became one, the joy is always euphorical. It is for some days; then resumption of the race of maintaining the title. But someone like Thomas Edison doesn’t need such. His work could be duplicated and a lot of people could benefit of it. Sitting back and watching how his inventions has changed the life of humans is more joy compare to that of the Professor.

Whenever you think of making your mark in the world, always think success and not achievement. Success creates more of its kind; achievement cannot be duplicated. 

Whatever you are good at, always impact it to more people as much as possible. When you think of a vocation, think of the one in which you could make history; the one your contribution will better many. Even though you might not be noticed, the inner satisfaction is more than enough. Always think of producing many, don’t think of just producing. Remember there is difference between achievement and success.
